ACDE-QAAA Hosts Special Panel on Quality Assurance in ODeL at ODeLAN Conference 2025

ACDE-QAAA hosted a special panel on Quality Assurance in Open, Distance and eLearning (ODeL) during the 3rd ODeLAN Conference, held at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) from 14 – 16 May 2025. Over 100 participant attended  the panel, which featured insights from leading experts. Presentations covered ACDE’s history and advocacy role, the centrality of QA to institutional credibility, the structure and benefits of the ACDE Quality Assurance Toolkit, the update digitalized toolkit, and the ACDE Quality Assurance Certification Programme. The Session Chair, Prof. Abdalla Adamu, together with the ODeLAN President, Prof. Francis Egbokhare, endorsed the QA Toolkit, urging ODL institutions to adopt it as a diagonistic and improvement tool to strengthen internal systems and pursue ACDE certification. ACDE-QAAA looks forward to supporting ODL institutions across Africa in their commiment to quality and continuous improvement.
The Panel then featured five presentations adressing various dimensions of quality assurance in ODL:
